House demolition, April 23rd, 2013

Al Aqaba village, Northern Jordan Valley, Tubas Governorate.  23 April, 8.15 AM   Waking up by Haj Sami’s phone call about an ongoing demolition at around 8 AM. The road leading to the family property was already blocked and the buldozers, Israeli Civil Administration cars and Military jeeps were already in action. After an hour it was all over – 70 square meters demolished.  All in all 4 demolished structures – a shelter for sheep, a shetler for fodder, a shelter for the people to live in and an adjacent kitchen area.  Faisal Mohammad Daragmah ( 9 people in the family) had built the structures and lived there himself for 8 months. The land is private property (tapu land), inherited from his father.
