Playbus from Bethlehem

So, while my family was cooking up Thanksgiving dinner, Haj Sami announced that we had five extra people staying with us at the guest house! They were a team from Bethlehem that drove a Playbus around the West Bank. I doubt they expected to eat Thanksgiving dinner in Al Aqaba!

While we shared in the Turkey Day (4-chicken day) festivities, I learned that the Playbus team brings games and activities to children in cities, villages and refugee camps. The next morning they woke up early and set up a playzone outside the kindergarten. They busted out little air hockey tables, stilts, equipment for magnetic fishing, beanbag tossing….it was fun to watch the kids run around the stations, they’d never had a school field day like this before!
